I'm back and I'm tan.

I've been thinking about this all week what to say about what could possibly be my only trip to Hawaii (although it was so nice I hope to go back) so I decided to include pictures.

After an excruciating ten hours on a plane we arrived on sunny Ohau. It was a massive 6 hours behind New Jersey time so needless to say we were sleepy but it was dinner time. The view from our hotel was fantastic.

We stayed right on Waikiki beach in the Hale Koa (House of the Warrior) hotel. If you guessed it right this is the Military hotel in Hawaii. Super cheap and amazing. Relatives for the win.

Monday: We hiked up Diamond Head Peak and got an insane view of the island. A tough but short hike up the side of an extinct volcano.

My awesome family and me. Left to right: Aunt Sue, Uncle Jeff (Colonel in the Reserve Army Corp of Engineers) Megan (my cousin Chris's girlfriend), cousin Matt, cousin Chris (Second Lt. soon to be in the Army corp of Engineers, just graduated West Point why his girlfriend could go and not my Marc), me in my silly hat followed with my fabulous sister Janella. Only missing my mother and my cousin Kelly.
A few shots of the view from the top.

Awesome right? I loved it and it was worth every minute of the stupid hike. Stupid stairs. *grumbles*
That night we went a luau at the hotel. The announcer wasn't to great but one of the actors was just so hilarious he made the whole show. My sister got a picture with him! Notice the red cheeks? She was drinking lulz.

Tuesday we went to breakfast at a restaurant I picked out! It was called Eggs an' Things and it was fantastic. Then it was shopping. My sister and I wandered around what we got to calling the Rodeo Drive of Hawaii because it was filled with an insane amount of expensive stores. Also an insane amount of Japanese Tourists. So many that one could actually pay with yen. Boggled my mind a little. I enjoyed all the fabulous shopping the area had to offer. In fact under the Hilton Hawaiian Village, which was next to our hotel, there were almost as many shops as were on the Rodeo drive. It was crazy strange. While we did that my Uncle Jeff and my cousin Kelly took a great LOST tour of the places the shoot on the island.

Wednesday we went snorkeling. It was awesome and super cheap, although we had to get up at 6 to get there early for a good spot and free admission. We saw two turtles! Actual freaking SEA TURTLES. My snorkel mask kept trying to drown me so I didn't stay in to long but I would go back again (with my own mask).

My Aunt Sue and cousin Kelly are walking by and that is me laying on the towel. I have a T-Shirt on cause I burned like a mad mother the day before. I'm peeling as I type =p
After we got back from the beach we went shopping at the Pearl Harbor Naval Exchange. For those who don't know, an Exchange is basically an Army (PX-Post Exchange), Air Force (BX-Base Exchange), or Navy (NEX-Naval Exchange) sponsored department story. The prices are crazy awesome and to even shop there you need a military I.D. Or a friend with one. It is totally worth going. The also have commissaries, which are like supermarkets. Both are super cheap and are found all over the world. I had Taco Bell for dinner. =D

Thursday was Pearl Harbor. I didn't bring my camera out of respect for our nations dead. It was humbling. I'm glad I went.
After that is was back to the NEX for lunch. A little afternoon shopping then Cheeseburger: Waikiki for dinner. Best burger I've had in a while. I want to go to the one in Key West next. We did a little family shopping after that then it was off to bed.

Friday the family went kayaking which I, my mother and my cousin Kelly opted out of. We stopped at a totally boss Salvation Army store where I picked up two awesome tee-shirts and a super cute pink skirt. After the kayaking we went out to the North Shore for some shaved ice and dinner at a seafood place that would have been better had it been better on choices. We all collapsed when we got back.

Saturday Mom, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Sue and I did some historical sightseeing at the Palace of the old Hawaiian Royalty. That was fun and informative although I won't bore you with the details of history stuff cause that's a love it or hate it deal. Here is a fabulous picture of my Mom near the front gates though.

On the way back to the hotel my Aunt saw this sign I had to take a picture of. Had too.

Before you ask, every sign on that porn is involved in porn somehow, even Tres Jolie. It was like an escort club or something. Ha.
After that Mom, Uncle Jeff and I went to the Bishop museum, which had an awesome science hall I really enjoyed. I played around with a fake volcano. That night all the kids played a kick butt game of Monopoly in which Janella ruled all and Chris blamed me for his loss.

The next day we were all supposed to go on a nature hike but as it turns out my Uncle thought the flight was 3 hours later then it really was. My sister and cousin Matt happened to figure it out while the rest of us were at a Hawaiian swap meet. Thank goodness they freaking figured it out or we would have missed our flight. We split into two groups after that and Uncle Jeff hosted a personal hike up into the woods. I opted out, walked around a little with group number two and then we stated our return home journey. That was Hawaii. For a final bit I present a montage of Jolie In Hawaii!

1-Yes that is me eating a freaking McRib. It was awesome.
2-Me chilling on Sunday in the room.
3-Janella and I on top on Diamond Head.
4-Janella took that of me at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
5-Me near the Hawaiian Palace.
6-Chilling at the Punchbowl Cemetery.

Overall this trip was fantastic. FANTASTIC. I want to go back and stay at the Hilton, yum. I had a great time, great food, great activities, and I had a great time with my family. It was great. The only thing missing was Marc. <3

P.S. Dan, I Have your shirt. It is a really big 2XL. I would have got a 3XL liked you asked but they were all like $50 bucks a piece and I didn't have the cash monies. I hope it fits!
