Uh... update
WOW! It's been forever since I've actually updated my journal. God, what's new? Let's see... as of September 9th, I've been unemployed. They were going to give me another extension if my coworker turned his offer down, but he accepted it. Ah well, good for him. Thankfully I still have severance money coming to me for being laid off, so I'm not broke ... yet. I was thinking about going into the army -- now would be the best time to do it! No girlfriend, no job... why not? Well, I found out why not. Bronchial asthma can be fatal during basic training. That, and when I told my parents that I wanted to enlist in the army, they really didn't like that idea. I figured it'd be a great thing, I'd learn tons of self discipline, I'd be serving my country, and I could receive all the training I need as an Information Technology Specialist. They cover enough topics in the Advanced Individual Training that after my contract was up, I could get an A+ certification, which is a big deal to have in the IT business.
Hmm, well as you can tell from the updated picture I have, Red Alert's exterior is about finished -- and the models are great! :) Haha, 10 more and I can have MY OWN calendar. I'm glad I got everything out of the way while I could -- now that I'm unemployed I barely can afford gas and food. Unemployment benefits are slim, enough to survive on, but I need to get another job soon. No one wants to hire someone that can only work mornings though, everyone wants evening and weekends and between school and family stuff, I will not work those times.
My grandpa went into the hospital last week with the first signs of emphesyma (sp?), his lung collapsed and he wasn't doing too good. Thankfully they caught it in time, and he's already been discharged from the hospital. My grandma was so worried about him that she got shingles, so now she can't even take care of him until she's better. Ah well, I've been spending a lot of time with them helping them out -- might as well since I'm unemployed, right? Haha.
I broke up with Rachel the day before the Dream Cruise -- I felt really shitty for doing it but our parents were both against the relationship and it was just too frustrating to me to have to fight that. Maybe when she's not jailbait, right? lol oh god.
I've actually made up my mind I'm not dating anoying again unless she's interested in cars, but if she has an FBody (Camaro, Firebird, Trans Am), then she automatically gets first priority on the "girls im interested in" list haha. We'll see on that. I actually met a girl that's 19, goes to OU, and has a 1997 30th anniversary SS Camaro -- woot woot! That'd suck dating a girl with a car that's a lot faster than mine lol. Autumn's back for good, I've been pretty interested in her again. She's been going through a lot, and she says she doesn't want a relationship right now so I do my best to give her room, but I still joke around with her quite a bit.
My big Pleco died... My tanks look so bare anymore! The 75 gallon has about 5 african cichlids in it, Monique's oscar finally died. The 55 gallon has just the Midas. The 90 gallon has about 10 fish in there, assorted community. The 30 gallon has 3 rainbows left. I wish I had more cash so I could splurge and get all the tanks up and running up to par, I'm definitely not growing out of the fish craze, I just don't have the money to buy more!
