Five years ago, they came
They drank the tavern dry,
and winded round the house
in which the dead do lie.
They cried, they laughed
a child danced upon the lawn
and some did drink and jaw
until the breaking of the dawn.
They mourned and sang
and laughed at 'membered gapes
and ladies many
sobbed in darkened drapes.
