(no subject)
I'm finaaally on Day #4 of Devil Survivor... go me! /o/
I know, I know, this game isn't nearly as hard as I make it out to be, I'm just way too lazy to go grinding inbetween the missions. And then the next boss rapes my ass in no time and I'm all "OMG SO FRUSTRATING!!112123 ;O;".
Oh well. /snorts
My skill setup is pretty messed up as well. I planned for Yuzu as the main healer and MC as a full INT attacker, but then I randomly cracked Media and Recarm early on MC and was like "Oh, party heal~ oh, recarm~ can't go wrong with these", and because of these he now lacks any magic attack skills, while Yuzu has all the Agi Bufu Zio mass spells and no support skills at all. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN.
Scratch that, I found out how to switch skills between characters. orz (elegant_warrior is my official lifesaver /o/)

There was lots of stuff they cut this episode which I didn't really approve of, but above all - WHY WOULD THEY LEAVE OUT this, WHY. Would you believe me if I said I looked forward to see that particular scene animated since weeks? Because I found it adorable in the manga, also Jack/Gil/Alice fsgdfsd. Damn you XEBEC.
They also changed Gil's and Alice's "Jack!" to "Oz!" ... and there goes Oz' identity crisis side plot? I don't mind them ignoring small details, but this could actually be plot-relevant. Same with Gil's memories during the CC arc and here again, even if they won't reach the Sabrie arc this season, I don't get why they deliberately leave out important stuff like this...
And where were Rufus and Duchess Rainsworth? :c
But then again, this whole episode was... meh. What's with Ono Daisuke voicing Oz, that made no sense at all. And here I was looking forward to Minagawa's Jack!Oz, I really think she would've made that speech way more epic.
School arc tiems! I really hope we get to see Elliot & Reo next episode, even if just for a few seconds. ♥
Other than that, I'm probably gonna re-read the whole manga soon, now that the scanlations caught up with the current chapters in Nippon. I've read chapter 12-38 with translations to the RAW scans but never the actual scanlations, so I might've missed some important stuff here and there. And now that this manga is getting so so so incredibly good plotwise, I really don't wanna miss out on anything.
... Aaand another evil cliffhanger at the end of Retrace 39. Well, at least it wasn't as bad as the one in Retrace 37... but. :(
