I watch quite a bit of Natgeo and find this one show 'Taboo' rather interesting. They mess up from time to time--see this comment thread-- but I find them better than most doc producing channels out there (which doesn't say much I know). Anyway, their new season starts this Sunday and one of the eps shows a guy sitting next to his blow up doll saying he's never had a relationship with an organic woman.

I'm trying to think about ways that this doesn't sound like vagina dentata territory and coming up short. Clearly, I'm an intolerant asshole. Defriend at will.

The title credits of Big Love are pretty, pretty and I love the opening song a million times more than the Beach Boys one. It sounds like the show is going to get darker *rubs hands gleefully*

I have realized that the #1 thing that draws me to a vid is the song choice. I also like choices not usually seen in fandom (so I find myself not that interested in Muse, Coldplay or Lady Gaga or other fandom fave artists). But that's how I am generally, I tend to steer away from popular things for some odd reason. The last time I liked a popular pairing was Mulder/Scully way back when. For some time now, I've been drawn to more marginal stuff, idk why. It's the same with vids. Most of the time, I prefer obscure to technologically savy (though these two needn't be mutually exclusive).
I know this is a common q, but what tends to draw you guys to a vid? I know it varies, but in general...is it ship, footage, song, vidder,...?
Anyway I saw an SPN vid set to a cover of the Pixies "Hey". I like the original song better (it's one of my faves, especially the live version which is to DIE FOR). But it was still neat to see footage set to the song.
