Well, first off, my spring break was very relaxing, although mostly uneventful. I didn't see nearly enough of you guys though. Obviously, this is because many of you weren't in Long Beach...but still. Anyway, the part of this break I'm really going to remember is the trip back to Amherst. It took me 28 hours. My flight out of LA was delayed for an hour due to some retarded "problem" with the air conditioning. I missed my connection in O'Hare and had to sit around for 5 hours while I was on standby for the next flight to Hartford...which turned out to be full. So then I stood in the customer service line (a human bilge pump) for an hour and half. I got put on a flight at 6:45 the next morning which meant that I had to spend the night in Chicago. I finally got into Amherst today at about 12:30. Dinner tonight was the first full meal I'd had since yesterday morning. I feel like shit. The only upsides to this detour were that I met a nice, also stranded, fellow from Edinburgh in line who I hung out with for the evening so I wasn't entirely alone, having my own king size bed and a hotel room for a night was kind of thrilling, and I had a great story to tell my friends when I got here. But seriously, fuck the airlines. The end.
