What's Up for Today?
Normally we'd go to my parents house to watch the "horrible parade" (don't ask me why it's called that). We were in it as kids and our kids were in it when they were little. However, because of dad's passing recently, we decided it would be too difficult. We would have coffee and donuts for anyone that stopped by.....we had our "regulars"....we thought it might be too draining. Especially if people didn't know and asked where my dad was. :(
The 4th is a high holiday in both my and Craig's families. We will be going down to mom's in a few hours for a cookout (family only this year) and then tonight we'll watch the fireworks from the yard (they're practically on top of us....sometimes it's scary!).
