PANIC ON THE STREETS OF LONDON

Oct 11, 2009 23:59

For the last time, the world is not going to end on December 21, 2012. Where do people get these ridiculous ideas from? It's very distracting at work when I can hear a few of the employees bursting into tears down the hall. Something about being too young to die.

Really.

It's ridiculous.

[post type: blog], the world isn't ending!

Either way, one must always be prepared.

That's very true, but still pointless unless you can predict the means of the apocalypse. Or whatever. And people can't predict the future.

...Why does the search engine keep bringing me to this blog when I ask for help repairing a broken light fixture? Er....well, you know, the Mayans were... v-very accurate in their calculations of the heavens. P-people might just assume the worst without th-thinking that maybe they just... ran out of time to keep going?

Perhaps some nice, soothing music over the intercom might help c-calm them?

That's strange. Perhaps the search engine needs to be repaired as well. These myths about the Mayans aren't scientific at all, I believe. Just Western make-believe.

I don't allow music in my section of the office.

How do you know the world isn't going to end?

Because it's not.

I don't think it matters much if we're all dead after that anyway.
