Summary: Inoo was pushing too much for a chance to get a day to enjoy with the rest of HSJ, getting Yabu a little pissed. Little did Yabu know that this was probably the last night phone call he will get from Inoo before he leaves.
Author's notes: Wasn't proof read. Grammatical corrections are welcome. Hisashiburi desu ne… it’s been a year since I started writing fanfics again. I lost the one I was supposed to put up last July T_T and I almost lost the original version of this fic too T_T Anyway I hope you guys like it. I miss InooBu and there’s pretty much little update for 2009, so I hope that this year will be fruitful for our beloved Hey! Say! JUMP <3 I made this fic when I was studying for our finals (too bored to study literally tons of readings T_T). Our University’s International Center was the inspiration for this fic ^^, So without further adieu… dozo.
Hateshinai, itoshisawa… kono kokoro ni tashika ni umareru~
“Kei!” he answered softly, trying to hide his excitement due to the daily night phone calls.
“What’s up?” calling him by his first name by the person he treasured the most was like music to his ears.
“Just in time” the older chuckled. Silence was heard at the end of the line. He laughed, “You always call at about this time of the night… or rather morning. So what’s up, lonely again?”
Silence lingered as the younger reflected on the other’s question. “Am I a bother to be calling this late or calling at 6 in the morning?”
The older boy was rather astounded by the question and took a few minutes of reflection bringing him back to the times when he was just getting used to the daily night phone calls he received. He was always tired from drama and sitcom shooting, endless photo shoots… not to mention being left in-charge to lead Hey! Say! JUMP most of the time and here he comes calling him at the 2am in the morning because he was lonely, or taking a break from tons of his school work or ranting about how stressed he is from school and idol life. But before he even knew it, he couldn’t sleep not until he received the daily night phone calls or his body automatically gets up at 6am in the morning just so he can be the first to greet him “Good Moring” and bid good luck to his day. There was even a time when the younger, tired from all the schoolwork and practice for their coming concerts, failed to call him and was asleep from 10pm ‘till 9am. He couldn’t sleep the night because of that.
“Ko~, are you okay?”
His train of thoughts were broken as he was brought back to reality. He smiled “Of course I don’t mind it at all. Anyway, how was the party?”
“It was amazing! I wish you were there…”
“You know that I don’t blend well with your college friends, Kei.” Sometimes, he feels insecure that the younger was attending university. He was never really a “study-person” himself. Nonetheless, he’s couldn’t help but feel proud for the younger to reach university.
“Well, then maybe next time, we could attend a party with all of JUMP”
“That’s a great idea!”
“Next week then?”
“Wait a minute party boy… why the rush?” he laughed.
“… I just figured out that all of us should hang out together. We don’t usually do that much anymore.”
Confusion. “What are you talking about? We always see each other every day, right?”
“For work”
“At least we get to see one another.”
“I wish that there could be a day when all of JUMP could get together without doing any work-related things. Just to have fun” he sighed.
The other guy smiled “We will Kei… just not now.”
“When?”
“I don’t know... what’s the matter with you? Come on, you know that there’s a lot of work to be done, especially with you attending university.”
“I know, I know”
“Then what’s the problem?”
Again, silence lingered the air. “… nevermind. You’re right, there’s a lot of work to be done. Sorry to bother you this late at night Yabu. Don’t worry, I won’t be bothering you a few months from now when I leave to study in England” and with that, he ended the call.
