For my final portfolio in my senior AP art class, I had to pick a concentration pretty fast at the beginning of the second semester. And, since I'm obsessed like that, one of my first thoughts was Panic! At The Disco.
I think they're pretty good; post them to BSM!! And as for why you didn't pass... Maybe it's 'cause they're kind of literal? Like, you could have dug a bit deeper into the songs or something. And, no offense, the reflection in God seems a bit wonky... Very, very good, though.
Like the graders have ever listened to Panic! At The Disco, or know anything about what the fuck I'm talking about. It's not about my translation of the songs, it's about how good my art is, how well the pieces fit together, and how they grow.
Wonky how? Like, the angle, or what? Cause I used a mirror to figure out the angle, but there was a cabinet right where I needed to stand, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a little off.
And it's not really a "pass/fail" kind of thing, it actually doesn't affect anything. It just would have gotten me college credit if I got a 4 or a 5.
Well, I wouldn't really call it "fan art", so. I mean, the guy in this is not, I repeat NOT, Ryan. In fact, it's more like a bunch of semi self portraits because I used myself as a model for everything. They're just based off of lyrics.
If it was more profile, it wouldn't be reflecting from where he's standing. (The whole point is that his "friend" isn't real; it's him in his head, like Fight Club.)

And yeah. i'd be surprised if they did listen to such an "adolescent" band.
And I think it's the angle... I think it should be more of a profile, so...
It's still quite good. :)

Well, I've come to accept that a lot of what I draw is at least slightly on the wonky side anyway, ahah. It's all good.
