Big fan of Juliet Marillier, a fantasy writer.
My favorite one of her books? Oh man. I GUESS I would go with the Bridei's Court Series. I haven't read them in a while (three years or so), but I truly remember not being able to put them down. They are filled with political uproar, romance, and magic. All AMAZING things! A little corny, you may be able to figure out how it ends a quarter into it, but I still love them all! :-P
