A few things I've done recently between putting comics together:
I drew the cover for
Newcity for their June 13th issue. It was pretty fun, but I hope that if I get to do it again I will have more than 12 hours to complete it.
I drew American Maid fanart for the 4th of July weekend. I used watercolor and prismacolor markers to see if I could get varying levels of color saturation. I think this was also after I had recently watched
Only Yesterday, which makes excellent use of watercolor backgrounds.
Here's a little picture I did of a super-deformed Adèle in colored pencils. I think I still prefer colored pencils best as a media to mix with watercolor, at least until I can get them to blend as smooth as
this artist.
Here's something I finished just recently: an experiment in watercolor and colored inks. This piece will be on sale at the Howl Gallery for the upcoming
Sugar Ninjas show. Sugar Ninjas vol. 2 is out now, and I am in the Sweet book again, which you can buy
here. Volume 1 should be returning to the store soon, looking better than before after some minor editing and reformatting.
