The Last Stop~

NOTE: I've got some pretty crappy pictures cuz these are pictures I took from my camera of my camera phone. :/ I left my cord back in Edmonton, so I won't have time to switch them to the better quality pictures till I get back home in December, so until then, bare with the bad quality. > <" GOMEN!

EDIT: Pictures updated~

Finally, back at home! XD I mentioned this on another post, but I ended up going to that place near Columbus Circle to get my will call tickets for AAT the day before.

Yesterday morning pretty much started with us waking up at 9:30, and leaving around 10:30. We decided upon walking to Penn Station for brunch...as it was really only a few blocks away from our hotel. We stumbled on a somewhat pricy brunch place where we ordered nice pancakes and omelette.

And around 12, we headed off to walking towards Time Square, hoping to see something exciting along the way. Admittable, we were somewhat disheartened by the fact that there wasn't much there to see aside from theaters and more theaters...and a few crazies trying to sell you their CD when you had no idea who they were in the first place. :/

We decided to join the crazy long line around 1pm and waited till about 4:30. Freezing in line. Yes. That's how much Kat likes Jin. XD ...That she pulled her friend that's a non-Jin fan into going to the concert with her...that she made her friend wait almost 5 hours before the show to get a good place at the venue. :/ *I'm sorry~!!!* But...in the end it was totally worth it. I mean, I'd gone with the experience of going to the LA concert, and had expected that lining up at 4 would've been fine! But no...we'd heard there were fans who'd been lined up since Thursday!!! ...no offense, you guys are a little insane. > <" A little bit too much for me anyways.

Luckily, we ended up making friends in line, as we were really the only four in our part of the line that weren't Japanese. > <" You know all those rumors you hear, about Jin's concerts having a lot of middle-aged house wives from Japan...and like...older women? THEY'RE TRUE!!! SO TRUE! :/

Though at the LA concert I went in June that wasn't...the NYC one...is totally true. When me and my friend got in line, she heard a bunch of comments by passer-bys who were generally caucasian. She's white herself, and I'm Chinese, so I kind of blended in with the Japanese crowd. :/ But she got asked quite a few times why everyone was lined up...She overheard people asking if they were in China Town. Someone even said, "There's not even a white person in that line." And the son standing next to the dad points to my friend, "There's one!" He shouts. :/ That was rude.

Somewhere during the standing time...and waiting to go into the venue, some Chinese fans came around with this huge banner that read, "You're not alone". I just knew they were Chinese, cuz I heard them speaking Mandarin. But...yeah.

Anyways, so yes! We made friends in line luckily, because we were freezing around 4:30. They went to Starbucks, and came back around then, and we held their place. So, we ended up going to Starbucks as well, so at least we could use the bathroom, and ended up getting back into the line in the same spots around 5:10. XD Around 5:30, Dominic, Juice, and I think...it was John Michael? There was a guy named Paul? I don't know... Is that his name? Three or four of Jin's dancers were walking outside the venue filming the fans. And I just remember them walking around back to the front of the venue, and I waved to them from the side, and they just smiled again and waved back. XD

A bit after 6, we finally were allowed in. My friend did the coat check while I stood in the goods line. But yes! Lots of goods! There were...just so much to choose from...and so much readily available. I think...my friend mentioned that since it was the last stop, probably all the leftover goods from the other concerts that didn't sell out were gathered here...so there was no one that left without getting something that they were looking for...or at least, that's what it seemed to me. Even I ended up spending a good $145 total on goods Cuz I decided to buy my friends a shirt. XD I would've bought more posters...but the one I got was really my favorite, and I didn't want to go crazy bringing back all of them. XD

The inside of the venue/and outside~:

Then, once we were done getting the goods, we found spots on the floor. We decided to go to the second floor up...got a much better view. At least...I felt like it was. Instead of looking up at him, or down at him, I got to look...really, eye level at him. XD And somehow, it still felt so close. ^^"

Pretty much, it started with Juice and John Michael introducing stuff and trying to get people hyped up. Then, the video of Jin in LA...the recap. Then they came back on stage to introduce Dominic, who sang 2 songs. Even I got pretty hyped up when he came out to sing...but I think I was still on a high from being like, OMG...Jin in a few minutes. XD Anyways....when he was done singing, another video, comprising of Jin's photo shoots and bits of his official website interview....and yes. Him wanting to go "world-wide".

Hid dancers walked out on stage, and Jin somewhere along the way, had been hiding and playing behind one of the mannequin things with the box. After like shaking hands with all his dancers, he made his way up the steps, the lights went on him, and he did the music box robotic dance thing. That's right. It's Christmas Morning! He played the drums once again, and I admit, the total conduction with glow sticks is pure genius. XD And the guitar riffs were absolute love! I totally remember the robotic-ness of it all...and him knocking down one of the mannequins with a drumstick which I was pretty O_O!!! about. XD

Next, Bass Go Boom, which is honestly still one of my favorite songs. C.L.A.P.!! ^^" Everyone got pretty into it. Whenever it's the 'Akanishi keeps them records turning' part....we always scream...XD How can we not? Though, that's when I realized there were actually no extra screens this time around for the people in the back. There were screens though that I saw...they just weren't being used. No subtitles either. Though...his english was definitely was a lot more understandable this time around compared to back in June in LA. ^^" But, I'm kinda curious how well those people sitting in the back could actually see. They seemed pretty inactive to me though from where I stood. I remember Juice and John Michael seeing all those guys sitting at the beginning too...and having to make them stand!

Wonder, I.N.P., A Page....He totally sang live...that's for sure, which is what I liked about it this time around. Last time, it felt surreal...that I could just even seem him in person. This time, his voice was a bit more raspy...and a bit more outta breath that you could tell that he was really singing it all live. I was more surprised I knew the lyrics fully though. XD

Oo Wah was the song that I'd really wanted to see him sing the most. It's...honestly now one of my favorite songs from him...and it totally does seem a bit reggae. But..OMG! :D The

MC was pretty...maa...him saying his usual MC from all the other previous concerts. That he just sang his new song...that there's two more new songs he's going to sing. But he messed up his engrish again. Somewhere in between his mess-up, he said something about 'Butt'. :/ I slightly missed it...and wish someone could clear up what he'd said too. Cuz he started laughing at himself.

Then, it was BODY TALK...and when I'd downloaded to my mp3 player, I couldn't warm up to "The Fifth Season"....but live...OMG! Really...It's OVERFLOWING! You just feel so much power in his voice...

Paparats has always been one of my favorite songs of Jin's....(But I'm biased as you can see, and I'm saying that I really like everything...) The crowd was just getting so into it. Then, it was Hey Girl! XD OMG~!! I absolutely loved this song! XD Perhaps it was the fact that the guy who was rapping with him - what's his name? Shunpei?...in the song totally touched Jin's collar bones...or at least tried to like twice. XD Too bad Jin didn't squeal really loudly. Either way, I still kyaa~ed really loudly when I saw that. > <" I couldn't help it. haha. The more I listened to Hey Girl, and the lyrics, the more I agree with it being a 'stupid song'. But it's such a jumpy song that you kind of just feed off his energy too. And it's always interesting hearing the songs live after knowing what they're really supposed to mean. And I totally will believe he looked at me quite a few times since I was wearing yellow and stood a way from him....but still at eye level. XD

The World Dance parts...again, were a bit blah for me...just like they were when I saw them in LA. :/ Though I did enjoy it cuz Jin had more parts this time around. XD I admit, I feel like a lot of his dancers from..LA in June were no longer with him? Wasn't there another guy...and another girl? ...or maybe that's just me remembering wrong...I don't know. And of course, my favorites (I should just...stop saying that), Yellow Gold, My MP3, and the last song Tipsy Love.

At the end of the song, all of his dancers were re-introduced with the use of the song, and Shunpei came out dressed kind of like Jin...cuz his headband...looked like Jin's....with this big container of like Twizzlers and started throwing them into the crowd. I noticed him trying to get one section at the back too. XD Jin and some of the other dancers ate them too. Then, that's when I noticed like a girl holding an uchiwa, and those Chinese fans from before holding up their huge white banner...and like...someone even through a bear or something at the stage! ...OH! And something about these people holding these like neon signs? But I had no idea what it read since I wasn't close by them.

We were hoping for an encore...and I remember waiting in line, and these Japanese ladies handing us these papers telling us to sing Eternal, at the end...or just hum to it. We didn't end up doing that. I could overhear a few Japanese ladies talking about it, and they said that they decided not to do it since somehow, everything got lost in translation, and the other fans wouldn't listen to them. But anyways, after about 10-15 more minutes of calling for an encore, he finally came out again. More kyaa~ing. XD

Mmm....and then he thanked us again, and said something along the lines of, "It's a special occasion this time, since it's the last concert. So, he'd sing the song that is going to be release in Japan as his new single soon. I don't know if you guys'll like it, it's Japanese so..." But the crowd went crazy anyways. And some of us even sang along. But the fact that he even sang a Japanese song kind of made my heart flutter....especially since I know exactly what it's about. ^^"

I laughed because somehow, he ended up with one of those lyrics sheets that we got from the other fans. He seemed so worried, because he was like, "I don't even know the lyrics to the song." At the beginning of him singing it, he was singing with the use of the sheet too, so I couldn't help but laugh. But...then he really got into it.

But I'm sure by now...everyone's seen this:

And another one (I've a feeling the girl who stole my spot took this. XD):

But the greatest part, I'd say...is that I feel like I can actually say this time around, that I made eye contact! :D ...lots of times. And I might've made my friend become a fan of him. XD She'd apparently gotten the impression he'd only be singing in Japanese, and when I told her it was in english, she got more hyped for it. XD She enjoyed it and so did I! XD But whoever was the person who had mentioned previously, that Jin's fan-rips and fan videos don't do him justice, is absolutely right. He's someone you feed off of, and just keep going. He's someone you experience and fall in love with...

And so, afterwards, we headed cross the street to the Bubba Gump restaurant for dinner, and walked the few blocks back to the hotel. Yay~! I now can officially say, I know my way through NYC without a map. XD That is, I knew which way was which just by knowing which street I was on. :/ Weird.

So, this morning, we ended up waking up really early nonetheless, because we had to take a bus from 31st and 9th to go back to Toronto, and then back to Guelph. :/ A long bus ride...that really was well worth it. In so many ways, I just wish I could see Jin again and again. I mean, I missed a day of work for travel...haha. But...OMG~! If I hadn't gone to NY, I think I would've been uber depressed about it...Like...it really felt like I was seeing Jin HD...nice and up close...so much better than in LA. So much...more alive.
