021; 4.07 "Effy" picspam
First off, HI! To all my new friends I've just added. My intro post is here as well as links to a few of my other accounts. I don't really use those accounts as much but you're free to add me there as well. This journal is mainly graphics but I'll try posting more stuff, more often from now on.
I also started watching Durarara!! & LOVE LOVE LOVE it so far. Do I seriously have to explain about how awesome it is? Well I won't. 'Cause those of you that watch it already know, and those of you that haven't SHOULD and then watch it too :)
Now on to the picspam...
Wow this is late. I was going to post a picspam of Cook's episode the other week (I was basically finished it too) but my computer broke and I didn't backup the picspam so I lost it and didn't want to make it all over again. So I decided to picspam Effy's episode since she is one of my favourite characters in skins (and maybe even one of my favourite of all time). I've loved all of Effy's episodes since season 1 and this episode was no exception. But I do feel that out of the four this one is my least favourite. I included almost all of the episode in the picspam except for a few 'cause I was lazy and didn't have much to say about those certain scenes.
John:What are you thinking about?
Effy: My brother.
John: What about him?
Effy: Nothing.
John: Something happened to him didn't it?
Effy: Lots of things happened to him. He was born almost a month late. Won first place poetry competition when he was eight. And met Sarah Ferguson. Got the highest mark on an essay in Cardiff history.
John: And somewhere in there he was hit by a bus, and nearly killed. Am I right? Why don't you tell me about that?
Effy: Why that? Why not the good stuff?
John: 'Cause I'm not interested in it. Tell me what happened to your brother, Elizabeth. From the start.
YAYY! FINALLY they mention Tony! Now if they only brought him back instead of having this guy, John...ugh I don't even wanna talk about this bastard. Let's just focus on Kaya's gorgeousness...

When I first found out about skins it was through icons/pictures of this girl. I thought Kaya was so freaking pretty and I instantly loved the Effy character even though I didn't even watch one episode. That's how shallow I am. Of course I love her even more now that I know what kind of character she is ^^;
Effy: It's Freddie's.
This is sweet but while I was watching I thought "I hope Anthea washed that first." 'cause srsly, when was the last time Freddie took a shower >_>;
Effy: There's a bus coming Tony doesn't see it. He's distracted. It hits him, runs him over. He's in the gutter and he's bleeding. He looks dead.
John: Open your eyes. Well done, Elizabeth. It's taken you three weeks to tell me that story. How do you feel?
Effy: Awful.
John: I'd like us try something new. I want you to close your eyes again. And imagine that bus never hit Tony. Can you do that for me?
Effy: But it did hit him.
John: It's just an exercise. Try to imagine it never happened. Ok. Make a picture in your head. What do you see?
Effy: Tony standing by the road. He's laughing.
John: Good.
Ahh, more talk bout Tony♥ BUT where the hell is he? Can't they at least MENTION that he visited, or even called?! T___T
Naomi: Oh God what are they giving you?! And can I have some?
Effy: This whole thing with this girl, Sophia. Why don't you just imagine it never happened?
Naomi: But it did.
Effy: Yeah, but if you tried to think like you didn't...
Naomi: But... Am I missing something? You can't change what's already happened. I wish you could. But... you just can't.
NAOMI/EFFY! YES. Put 2 fierce woman in a scene (like Effy/Naomi, Effy/Katie, Katie/Naomi) and they don't even have to say anything, it's automatically awesome. Season 4 (and S3) needed a lot more of this♥ I thought the visit was kind of random, but looking at it now it looks like Naomi was there to (unknowingly) remind Effy that you can't change the past and pretend that it never happened and that John's method is bullshit.
Effy: Brought your jumper back. […] Good you see you Effy?
Freddie: Jesus Christ! Effy, it's fucking better than that. Oh my god.
I skipped John dancing cause at first I thought it was just weird. Now I think it's just more weird…but creepy weird. And creepy weird dancing is not allowed in this post. ONLY CEFFY DANCING PLZ&TY Anyways, look at how happy Effy is on her way to visit him. And how speechless Freddie is when he sees her. It's adorable! :3
Freddie: The bad memories about me. You don't like...feel them anymore?
Effy: No, they're gone. He took them away. But do you know what's left? Love. All I feel for you now is love. Nothing else.
Even though John is a major creep, Freddie doesn't exactly know that. So I do feel he was being a bit overprotective and overreacting. Just to be clear, I don't hate Freddie but he's not exactly my favourite either.
For those of you that don't know, I am a both a Freddie/Effy and Cook/Effy shipper. Maybe even a Cook/Effy/Freddie shipper ;D Like Effy, I found out about Freffy through pics of their lake scene. I got curious so I watched the scene on yt. I loved it so much that I watched more Freffy scenes on yt. I basically shipped Freddie/Effy before even watching skins. When I actually started watching the show I became aware of Ceffy. Freffy had the scenes/eye!sex and Ceffy had the chemistry/actual sex. It didn't seem fair to call Freddie/Effy my OTP since they had the advantage 'cause I liked them before watching the show. So I started this season neutral in both ships and had this season determine my OTP. I'm not gonna say what ship came out in the end (you probably already know) 'cause I mention it during another scene...
Pandora: So you're mental and I'm useless.
Effy: It's shame we'd have fit right in at Cambridge.
I LOVE their friendship. Most of the time I find Panda annoying and the only time I can actually stand her is when she's with Effy. Panda was the only one, besides Tony, that was close to Effy and knew her so well. That being said, I'm sad there wasn't more Effy/Panda scenes :(
Effy: I'm in a different place now. We all are. And I'm sorry. I'm really sorry.
Freddie: What are you saying?
Effy: I'm saying goodbye, I have to.

LOL I love you, Katie fucking Fitch! This is like the first 'group' gathering all season. Which is sad. Cook's not even there so it's not the whole gang! There was hardly any group interaction this season. In terms of being close as a group I think Gen.1 was better than Gen.2. Just look at how cute they are (before 3:00 that is)♥
Effy: You're no good for me Cook. You never were.
Cook: If this was us meeting for the first time. I'd do it all again. Everything. The fucks, the fuck ups, everything. I'd do it all again.
Effy: What's that suppose to mean?

I didn't like the Cook/Effy relationship at first cause it was all lust no love. I also didn't like Cook at first o__o He was such an ass. But after seeing this scene I fell in love with the Cook character. How could you NOT love Cook after seeing that?! That whole episode also changed my view on Ceffy.

HA. I lol'd at the "you made me go mad" part. AND I C WHAT YOU DID THERE EFFY. Don't buy into John's methods :@ On the plus side, Kaya still remains gorgeous :) I was think much about her curly do at the beginning of the season. Now I really like it - especially in this episode.

THIS. Scene. There's so much that I love about this scene - the Tony referencing, Cook proving how well he knows Eff, Kaya being awesome yet again and even the background piano music. For me this scene decided once and for all that Cook/Effy are my true otp. Of course I still like Freddie/Effy too but between couples Cook and Effy come out on top. It wasn't just this scene that convinced me. It was Cook's whole episode (you know, "the nod"), Cook's overall awesomeness, and Freddie/Effy's lack of whatever it was that made me like them in S3.
Effy: I'm not scared! I want to be scared! I want to be hurt! I want to remember! I'm not scared! I'm not scared! I'm not scared! I'm not scared! Come on! Come on! Come on! [Cook saves her ass, then she kisses him] Take me to Freddie, Cook. You need to get me to him. You need to get me there. I need to tell him.
Cook: You remember me, though, yeah? You know who I am?
Effy: How could I forget? You're my friend.
Holy crap Kaya. Why so awesome? I'm not gonna lie, I squealed like a fangirl when Cook saved her and she kissed him. Then I totally wanted to punch my screen when Effy told him to bring her to Freddie. And her "how could I forget?", that killed me.
Cook: You were going to fuck off? Leave her?
Freddie: Cook, she broke my heart man.
Cook: She broke my heart as well. You broke my heart. I bet you've broken hers at some point. So what are we gonna do? Are we just three losers screwing each other for ever? Or are we something better than that? Fuck, mate, grow up. Cause I'm done here.
Freddie: Thanks for bringing her to me.
Cook: Where the fuck else would I bring her? Don't screw it up.

YEAH! Go Freddie! It's not everyday you see Freddie showing he has a pair. Mostly when he tries stand up to people he just ends up looking like an idiot. So in this scene when he is sticking up for Effy I find it sweet that he's protecting her.
I didn't show the ending where John is killing/hurting Freddie because 1)I was lazy and got tired of coloring/picking caps, and 2)I still find the scene sick and distributing. It doesn't help that when I first watched the episode I was already sick and threw up the night before. I still can't believe they went there. I don't mind the whole concept of murder since we haven't seen it happen before in skins. But I didn't like the way they did it. For one thing, someone dying (at the end of a season) has been done before. Also, the ending scene feels like it came out of a horror movie than from skins. I don't really like to make predictions/theories but I won't believe that Freddie is dead until we actually see his dead body. And if they actually did kill him off I'll be REALLY pissed. He may be a funsponge but he didn't deserve to die like that!
On to an even sadder note...
IT'S ALL OVER TOMORROW! OMG GUYS! LAST EPISODE OF S4 & GEN.2!! /brb sobbing in a corner.
