Yay! I finally got all my hardback fiction books entered in LibraryThing. Plus some others, including my wish list from Amazon, but the first "project" was to get the hardcover fiction in. Man, I have a lot of First Editions and First US Editions.
http://www.librarything.com/catalog/Meijhen Today is my husband and I's anniversary. Despite all of the issues we've had, and how irritated he's made me, and how mad I've made him -- I still think we've been pretty good together. When the Squeaker came into our lives, it kind of made me realize that a lot of the stuff I'd been getting pissed off about really wasn't that important. He's a good dad, a good husband (although he's a lousy maid =P ), a stable influence to have around, and he loves me. We think alike on all the important things, or at least enough alike that we can usually come to a compromise.
It's hard to believe that we have a family now. Squeaker is growing like a weed -- she's sitting up on her own, and can even pull up to a stand with just a little assistance. Before we know it she'll be walking and talking and then we'll really be in trouble. So much fun yet to come, and also so much work. It is good to know that I will not have to be doing it all alone, as I was once afraid I would have to.
I started back at EDS on Monday, but of course, I have no cube, no computer, no phone, no network or campus access, and I'm pretty sure that I'm not even in the payroll system yet. This is scaring me a little bit -- I get one more paycheck from PPI, and then that's it. If they don't get me into the payroll system fast, then we're going to be seriously hurting. So I'm "working" from home and doing the best that I can, but without access to any of the materials I need, it's a little difficult! I'll probably go into the office tomorrow and Friday for at least a little while, to see if there is anything I can clear up, and maybe learn some things from one of the other guys (who is not actually on my team, but represents clients my team supports) if he's not too busy.
At least I don't have to learn the way everything works. Not much has changed in that regard since I left!
