I KNOW, IT MAKES ME SO SAD :( So far I think the best free alternative is Diigo, or so I've heard? I am trying to get accustomed to Pinboard, though it is lacking some functions I've come to rely on in Delicious...

Oh also take a look at http://www.xmarks.com/ (which is free and supposed to be very good, but not sure if you can export/import Delicious to it).

Hmm, I signed up for Diigo & imported my bookmarks; I think the site says it takes a while though?

I checked out xmarks, but I only imports the first 100 public bookmarks (well, you can dl a syncing toolbar, but I'm kind of ehh about that). Do you like Pinboard so far?

ARGH, DELICIOUS, WHY MUST YOU GO? T_T

hmm like I said upthread, Pinboard is missing some functions I've come to rely on heavily on Delicious - e.g., tag bundles, tag subscriptions, list of full tags, etc. But otherwise the bookmarking/tagging system is the same so I guess it's all right? My bookmarks have been imported in successfully with all the tags/notes so I'm grateful for that at least.

Woohoo for not having to reorganize tags. Maybe as/if Pinboard gets more popular, more features will be added?

Sarah, do you want a Pinboard? I know it's not, like, essential or anything, but if you'd like to give a shot, I'd be more than happy to gift you an account.

Thank you, ah! I think I'm good w/ Diigo though. Er, I hope I didn't sound like, Idk, "alksjdf Need a Pinboard but am too lazy to get one." D:

haha no, not at all. ♥ I just want people to have the option if they want it though. I do hope they add more of the features Delicious currently has though. Anyway, bookshop's keeping better track of alternative options than I am.

♥ Also, how's moving going? Are you almost done/ready to leave?

Ugh it's stressful but I've gotten a lot done. Gotta drop my car off tomorrow morning for an oil change and clean the apartment while it's gone. I'm basically done packing, though. After I get my car back tomorrow afternoon, I'll basically be loading. Then... Driving. Haven't decided if I'm leaving at 3am or not yet. @_@

Ack, I'm worried about reorganizing tags. :|

Does importing them to Diigo strip them of your original tags? D:

I'm not sure yet bc Diigo hasn't finished importing. Hopefully not! I checked out xmarks, and I kind of didn't like it bc it looks like you have to manage your bookmarks via folders.
