Keep an eye on amazonziti's post that I linked last time regarding the Haiti-fic fail. She's updated with links to a lot of great meta posts about this incident. The artist mementis has also posted an incredibly classy apology. I'd definitely recommend people go read it.
As was said about the apology: "Most anti-oppression discussion I've seen, when it starts in response to a particular offense, does not resolve entirely cleanly because the original offender/perpetrator is so unwilling to take responsibility for having hurt other people. I want to point out something ch_ar_me said that I really agree with: Not being part of the SPN fandom doesn't make this irrelevant.
