Quick Life Update!
I've completed the Theremin and have it fully tuned. :) Now that stage 1 of the flame throwing Theremin project is done stage 2 can begin. *cackles maniacally*
This last Friday I bought a crashed Triumph Sprint 955i RS. It starts up, idles, and seems to run totally fine. In addition to some scratches and ground down bits (that don't need replacement) the bike's original fairing and headlights are gone, one of the handlebars is broken, a foot peg is gone, and the clutch cover has a hole in it. The whole thing cost $1350 and I'm about to order replacement bits for all but the fairing for less than 300 bucks... I'd call that a damn good deal. Gotta sort the front headlight, blinkers, and instrument console, but since I've decided that the bike is going to become streetfighter stylee that should be pretty easy.
Work is going fantastically well. I really enjoy the place and people I work with. We've been kicking butt and making great progress on the current project too.
Everything is pretty wonderful except for missing my sweetie who is back in Edinburgh for a little while (though she'll soon join me back here for a short stint).
