One Piece Event at Tokyo Dome __________

The "One Piece Dome Tour," a five-day event celebrating the "One Piece" manga and anime series, happens April 27-May 1 at the Tokyo Dome stadium.

The popular manga about pirates searching for treasure has a combined circulation of 200 million copies.

The size of Tokyo Dome makes this event the largest ever held for One Piece fans.

A highlight will be "One Piece" world, divided into four areas. Each will have displays corresponding to locations in the manga, such as East Blue, Little Garden, and Water Seven.

Careful attention will ensure the displays show many details.

Life-sized models of the manga characters will appear as close to the original manga images as possible, right down to their face wrinkles, abs, scars, wounds and even the wrinkles in their clothes. Some will sport beards and face wrinkles not seen in the anime.

The items and displays at the event will be enough to fill 15 11-ton trucks, organizers say.

To liven things up, a live concert featuring members of the Straw Hat Pirates will take place. A temporary museum space will display a 20-meter replica of the Thousand Sunny pirate ship, as well as costumes and props created by Baroque Works.

All visitors will receive a special gift, which will be different each day. Products only available at the event will also be available for purchase.

Door will open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with last entry at 7 p.m.

Tickets for adults are 3,000 yen ($37), including tax, in advance and 3,500 yen at the door. Tickets for children of junior high school age or younger are 2,500 yen in advance and 3,000 yen at the door, and include a special gift. Admission is free for children age 2 or younger.
