Partying partying woo!

Yesterday was Friday Friday my birthday! Although I didn't get any presents, since I'm still in Glasgow (my first birthday away from my parents, it's weird). I'll get some in July, when I go to Åland.

- Woke up at 8 AM when my parents called to sing happy birthday to me. I'm glad I had the foresight to text my mother just before I went to bed that if they called before 8 I would adopt myself away. Then I put my phone on silent so I wouldn't be bothered by all the text notifications that "[x] wrote on your wall!" and got up an hour later.

- Went to get breakfast and chill at my laptop and read that NY passed the bill that legalises gay marriage. Proceeded to squee in happiness and tell everyone in the flat and put it as my facebook status. Best present ever.

- Hung out in the couch with my flatmates and our laptops for several hours. Funtimes were had. At 2 we decided to play cards and I taught them the Swedish game Hej Knekt, which in my first-year-flatmate circle is known as Baddonk-Baddonk and in this circle is now known as Linnéa's game. There was SO MUCH LAUGHTER it was amazing.

- Me and Rebecca went downtown to watch X-Men - I'd seen it already, but not Rebecca - but we hadn't booked tickets and it was sold out. So we waited half an hour and watched Green Lantern instead (again, I'd already seen it), which improved considerably by having someone else equally as excited next to me. Eeeee so much goodness coming in movies it's awesome.

- I went straight from the cinema to a pub/restaurant where we were having the monthly Autostraddle meetup, and there was much conversing and fun to be had and everyone paid for my drinks basically all night long. At midnight we went to the Flying Duck, but no one wanted to dance for ages and I couldn't hear anyone over the music. I eventually just got up and said "I'm gonna dance. Feel free to join in" and people did! The night improved considerably.

- I got home at 3:30 and plonked into bed and slept.

Not a normal birthday by my standards, but a whole lot of fun and wholesome goodness. Good times :)

(OH MY GOD I'M 22 WHAT THE EFF, I MEAN SERIOUSLY)
