I've got nothing to do here in Vegas tonight. :p Last night, I went to the Hard Rock Hotel and saw The Killers. The show rocked so much, we got to get up pretty close to the stage. I should have brought my camera with me...well, at least my camera phone but the day before, I went to go see Green Day in concert and they were confiscating every camera so I didn't bring anything with me to the Killers. :p
Everything on The Killers stage was so shiny and glittery. They started the show with "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine" and ended the concert with "All These Things That I've Done"...I'm still kicking myself for nothing bringing anything for photographic evidence. :p The only bad thing at the concert is that their speakers on the right side of the stage sounded busted halfway through the concert. Another interesting event that happened was that the fire department coming into the concert area because of a palm tree bursting into flames because a hotel guest threw something from their balcony or something like that. :p I never saw the fire because all my attention was on the concert and didn't even notice the fire trucks until one of the band members pointed them out.
The night before, I went to see Green Day at the Thomas & Mack Centre on the UNLV campus and it had to be the loudest concert I've ever attended. I had hearing problems for a few hours after the concert even though I was sitting in the nose bleed seats. :p The concert rocked...especially when they sang some of their older songs. In the middle of the concert, they pulled out 3 lucky fans with music experience in the middle of a song and had them play the drums, the bass guitar and the lead guitar while Billy Joe finished the singing the song after everybody was in place. :p The lead guitar was an 11 year old kid who kinda didn't play too well but Billy Joe asked how old he was, if he'd ever been laid and when the kid said "no", Billy Joe told the kid that he'll get laid after the concert. :p I found that kind of an inappropriate thing to say to an 11 year old boy.
Oh yeah, Billy Joe convinced the bass guitar player to perform a stage dive and I saw him running towards the end of the stage and jumped into the crowd and the crowd let the poor guy fall to the ground. :p
I'm kinda glad I'm not going to see any concerts tonight because my throat kinda hurts after two straight nights of screaming and yelling. :p
