interlude
two seconds in between songs
a vacuum of space and time
separation between two goals
the middle man
no one wants to deal with him
in his polyester suit
and gold chains
multiple rings and greased hair
shafting the ordinary consumer
consumption of sound in a deliberate pattern
absorption of music put on pause
every body part is strained and focused in the moment
no action is being taken here
for these two seconds
time does not really pass
blinking eyes are held open for a duo of seconds
it's a period of purification
release from the intoxication before
it's a transition from one addiction to another
it's the downtime between hits
every fix needs a point to come off of it
it signifies the beginning of one
and the end of another
in the opposite order though
the end of one
and the beginning of another
purposeful juxtaposition
simply to ensure the integrity of each
the former idea would make one continuous stream
a stream of consiousness that loses intention
clarity gone
purpose lost
the latter concept maintains resolution
each can be its own personality
stand proud and salute its own flag
they'd rather not conform to the black and white flag of norm
the two seconds between songs keeps them individuals
i dont know what irreverent means
