I've just learnt that my main lecturer at my university died yesterday morning whilst on a charity bike ride. I'm kinda numb and stunned over the news. I don't really know how to react. Darren was an amazing man and stood by me and helped me all through my degree course, becoming a very good friend as well as a mentor.

He'll be sorely missed and my thoughts go to his family during this time.
