(no subject)
ok so i talked to nicky p last night. he seems so different. well i don't think i'll consider him nicky p any more.. he is just Nick. i dont know if i like the new nick. but oh well can't do much to change that now can i?
he decided to just go ahead and go on active duty in the army:
he finished his packet today, and his physical and whew he passed. i"m scared though through all this hubub i never thought this would actually happen. i thought he wouldn't get in and we would go awww shucks and go back to everyday living. but that isn't happening. ok so now here is what we are looking at.
if jordan can finish three more classes he is elgible for a 20,000 sign on bonuse because of his oh so amazing asvab scores and such. now depending on how well he does at basic training decides if he gets that or not. be we are trying to get him to at least finish those classes so he can have a shot at it. and also if he gets those hours the more jobs are opened up to him after basic training. here is the problem we are facing now. Jordan is a student at delta but he isn't enrolled in any classes. Delta classes will be easier and they end august first. but delta doesn't offer student loans and me and jordan can't afford 1000 dollars right now. Jordan hasn't even applied to ulm yet and enrollment for classes is wednesday. i don't know if we can get him accepted and enrolled and secure a loan by wednesday. and classes for summer session one is over on july 1st. WOW meaning jordan will leave for basic in august if not before. my dad said he will work out something with jordan to pay for delta but the army won't reimburse my dad.. they will a bank or government loan. Jordan's recruiter said today that he was going to pull some strings at ulm and see if they can get him enrolled and all by wednesday. he seems pretty confidant in his ability to do that. hmmmm i hope so. well kinda.. do i want him to leave that early? oh well nothing and i mean nothing is set in stone. everything now rides on wednesday. we are just trying to take it one deadline at a time. ok so major outcomes for wednesday:
if he gets in to delta:
we will have to pay my father back alot of money
we will have to plan a wedding for middle of august
he will leave and be gone for two - six months with maybe a visit or two
but bigger sign on and better job
if he gets in to ulm
we won't have to pay back any student loans
we will plan a wedding for middle of july
he will leave at the beginning of july and will be gone for two to six months with maybe a visit or two
but bigger sign on and better job
if he doesn't go back to school
he will leave in about two weeks
we will get married one afternoon with just my family at the courthouse
less money and potentially shitty job
