(no subject)
so lately i've been shocked at how fast time flies. wasn't i an awkward, pre-teen dork just a few minutes ago? now i'm an awkward 20-something dork, but this my friends is not the point.
congrats to mark and mandy, as they have welcomed into the world a healthy, bouncing baby boy named jacob :) i told mark that i hope he's a little hell-raiser who poops in the corners of his house, haha, and he said that someday i'll have kids and that payback is a bitch, lol. funny how life works out, huh?
well, i'm still in pennsylvania, even after all of my ranting about missing home and family and friends. i'm applying to grad school here and if i don't get in then i'm for sure headed home. that's where i am, for now anyway. lord knows that plan could change at any second. i've also decided that from here on out i'm going to spare my lj the minute details, because i'm finding that i inevitably go back and re-read the things i've written, cringing the entire time and wishing i had kept some things to myself. i suppose if you're interested in those types of things you can call me and ask me about them. i'm not interested anymore in spilling my guts for the entire world (haha--how pretentious of me)to read.
so i got a cat from work...her name's gracie and she's jake's complete, polar opposite. she purrs when i pick her up and she doesn't yowl or try to scratch my eyes out or anything :) haha, it's a good thing. get this--someone found her wandering the streets (pregnant, the little hussy) and brought her to work, wait for it.....in a beer cooler. i kid you not. anyway, she stayed in isolation at work for maybe the past two months and i finally caved and brought her home, much to dan's dismay. he secretly likes her though, even if he doesn't admit it openly (i catch him being sweet to her all the time).
i can't believe thanksgiving is on thursday...where the heck has this year gone??
i've got the sketch bug right now, so i'm off to draw something while i'm feeling creative.
