(no subject)
good news! the nice folks at dunmore pet health center decided to take a chance on a crazy kid from massachusetts and offer me a job! it's true--i, meggin johnson, am now gainfully employed after the conclusion of my collegiate career. and now i have one less thing to worry about (for now). it's not a horse job but it's certainly more lucrative (not to mention secure, and safe)...i'll save some money up and then look around for horse jobs and i won't have to worry so much about how well i get paid.
i will say this: i love my little car, but if i have to spend any more than 20 minutes in it over the next two weeks i may crack. i was starting to twitch last night on my way back from PA.
i need some serious motivation to apply myself to school now. especially now that i have a job...i'm having a really hard time caring about my stupid soc. 103 class. i care about orgo (a little) , but i can't help loathing it at the same time. 59 days until graduation. everyone tells me that i'll miss college once i'm finished, but if that's true i'm having a really hard time seeing that perspective.
mom came through surgery like a champ and she's at home recovering in the recliner. she hates her pain meds and takes as little as she can bear. what a bad ass my mom is :) she should be up and almost back to normal in a few weeks but i have a feeling that she's going to go stir crazy if she has to wait that long. anyway--she's in good spirits and we're all relieved.
t-minus 25 days until the wedding! i'm excited, it's going to be a blast. dan's coming from PA to be my 'arm candy' and he likes to put it, i got a new dress to wear, the hotel has sleep number beds....what more could i ask for?! and i get a new sister! i'm going to hate myself for the shoes i'm going to wear. they're hot shit, the pain will be completely worth it.
so that's it for now, i've got some studying to take care of and some reading assignments to catch up on. i'm loving the nice weather we've been having! in like a lion out like a lamb huh?
for all my home kids--beth mentioned having a big old party after all of our graduations are over and i think it's a wonderful idea...who's on board?? i want to see everyone!
