I think you should put up some of the thousands photos you took. Interspersed with some anecdotes, ideally.

I have narrowed the photos down ... to about 2200. I may just have to start picking random numbers to decide which ones to post!

Oooh, good story. I don't know that I've ever had a fresh fig like that, either, and I'm certain I wouldn't have recognized it had I encountered it. (And for what it's worth, I'm rather glad you didn't have your spare camera battery that day--getting to read your recollected description of the little mystery was kind of delightful! :D)

FIGS. I DID NOT KNOW.

Considering that the mystery of the fig, which lasted about 20 minutes, needed a whole post to itself... multiply that times 45 days worth of awesome little events that I want to tell you all about and I suspect I may be posting about this trip for the rest of my life.
