Yes. This is it. One more hour and I am officially unemployed a free spirit. Wow. I guess I am doing this thing. I have been busy enough with all the details and logistics that the big picture hadn't really hit me until yesterday. I am quitting a job I have loved. I am leaving my sweet little apartment and my nice little town. I am saying goodbye to my friends. This is all okay, I'm happy and excited, but I suppose it's okay to be a little sad too.
We're probably getting pretty close to radio silence around these parts. I may do a little pre-trip blather this weekend and then while I'm at my mom's (because I know you want to hear how my cats enjoyed the eighteen hour road trip!). I have promised to let friends/family know that I'm alive via facebook, and I think that may take all the time I want to spend online while I'm traveling, but I'm still kicking around using twitter or flickr for non-facebook types. Too many internets, is what it is. It would be so much easier if I could just point everyone here! If I do get struck with the urge to "travel blog" I'll most likely do that here anyhow. This is the writing place! Anyhow, feel free to friend or follow or whatever wherever.
