I only have 4 more shifts with Lindt before starting my new job, officially! Honestly, I cannot wait to get out of there. I've been positive about it for a while, but the last few months have been Hell; I'm not going to miss it. Hanging out with the pup for another couple of hours and then going in to close the shop (2 to 9:30 or so), same tomorrow, then Thursday is an orientation with Hannaford, opening Friday, closing Saturday, and then DONE!
If everything goes the way that it's planned on Thursday, I should be starting full time as a customer service manager (trainee) on Monday, October 4th. Pay increase, closer to home, and an actual ability for upward motion. It's not perfect, and it's not my "dream job," but as far as I'm concerned right now I'm VERY lucky to have gotten this position. I'll do whatever I can to hang on to it and do well.
Upped my weights today in P90. It was needed, but I think that I handed my own butt to myself after I kicked it brutally. I'm okay with it though. My shoulder (of doom) is feeling tired but sound, and nothing else is bothering me beyond expected muscle fatigue with a new work out program. We started with a "prep week" fat burner program last week, so I guess this is technically only Day 2... but I'm 9 days in. I feel awesome too. I think that has more to do with how we are eating these days than anything. I had a few days where I was seriously adjusting, but I think I've made the switch from carb energy to protein energy fairly well.
