2005 Jars of Clay Concert #2
(I'm such a dork...)
So last night I went with Lauren, Al, Bethany, Nathan, (yes, I know that includes two couples and moi) and Nathan's friend (luckily it wasn't a set-up... heads would have rolled) to my second (that's right, count 'em, TWO) Jars of Clay concert so far this year. It was at Bethel. In the new sanctuary. Which was cool/weird. Lauren and I kept wanting to just go look around at the church we hadn't seen in so long. "Hey, mind if we just have a look around?" And I saw one of my friends from high school who I haven't seen in years and she had just been telling her dad (how totally weird is this...) that the last time she went to a Jars concert was with me! I know, very strange indeed! So we chatted for a while and such, and I got to thinking... I have seen Jars quite a bit! The time I saw them with my friend was when I was in 11th grade (oh goodness, was that really like 5 years ago?) at Roberts and I most certainly have seen them at KB at least twice, at my grandma's church, at Regent, and at Brockport and now Bethel... at least... wow, I'm a geek. Oh, and the opening acts were Chris Williams (amazing) and Ashley Cleveland (ok - not quite my type).
Ok, so here's the song list (not in order):
*They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love
*Love Song for a Savior
*Flood
*World's Apart (only part)
*Faith Enough (only the chorus)
*Liquid (I had never heard this one in concert before!!)
*Like A Child
*My Heavenly (they played it live the first time at Brockport... I am so special... or we... something)
*The Valley Song
*Show You Love
*God Will Lift Up Your Head
*I'll Fly Away
*Nothing But the Blood
*Hiding Place (YAY, it is my fave from the new CD)
*It Is Well
*and some other song that they don't have a recording of, but it is a "modern hymn" by someone... maybe the name is Julie Miller?
