so a few interesting developments in the past couple of days...
1. u of s sucks...
2. crazy people are really crazy...
3. my left hand hurts...
1. so i get a letter from scranton telling me that one of my classes for fall has been cancelled. great.
well the section of that class that i need is at the same time as another class that i need. perrrrrfect. i thought seniors somehow would be able to actually take the classes needed to graduate.
so now i gotta run up to school either today or tomorrow, find my registration stuff, see if i can contact my advisor, and try to work this all out. i was gonna go to school today and try to get this done but i couldn't... (see #3 for the reason).
i hate gina butler.
2. so last night at work i'm talking to this patient. the guy seems fairly nice and normal so i'm wondering why he's there. i asked him... bad idea...
apparently he has a 'plan' to assassinate g.w. bush. i mean i can't blame the guy for hating him but still...
so about a week ago he thought that members of congress were coming after him because of this 'plan' of his. he told me that they were all out to get him and he made me write down names of politians in case they come after him when he's discharged tomorrow...
because he's well enough to be with the general public now apparently... yeah...
3. i hurt my hand. bad.
the bottle that nicole bought me in mexico decided to explode in my hand today sending shards of glass into my left middle finger. i ran to the bathroom to flush it out with water and there was just blood EVERYWHERE. it looked like i killed somebody and then tried to clean myself up in my sink.
so after about 30 minutes of applying pressure to my hand, the bleeding kinda stopped. my brother kept telling me to go to the emergency room but i didn't think i needed it.
i did.
my finger is still completely numb. it's like having pins and needles constantly. so i went to the er and they took some x-rays to make sure that there wasn't any glass still in my hand (which there wasn't thank god)... and then the doctor said she wanted to take a look...
she ten proceeded to stick needles, scissors, tweezers, and any other fun torture device into my hand in a mad search for glass... she didn't find any. all she kept saying was 'wow this is bleeding a lot!!! the cut is about a quarter inch deep... i can see your tendon!!!' and i'm like 'that's great lady... can you pease stop hurting me and just sew my finger up already?'
so she decided to super glue me since i'd probably rip the stitches out of my finger just by bending it.
and i'm asking her if the numbness in my finger is due to loss of blood or if i hit a nerve or the side of a vain or something. and she says... 'well it might just be due to swelling around the nerve which is causing your finger to go numb. but if you cut a nerve it could be permanent.'
PERMANENT?
yeah... my hand hurts...
