I must be the only one who hated this book to the point of wanting to burn it from my memory!! ^^;;;. Teacher/Students stories are OK... as long as they are of legal age >__>;;;. But this one was just.... I kind of found it really frustrating and Sasagawa Tetsuya to me was so unlikeable. That and the fact that he was sleeping with a 14 year old girl who was planning to marry him? I was like WTF? I was confused too about that whole saving each other thing. I wish the story delved deeper into that.
Lol. I didn't particularly like Sasagawa Tetsuya either. I think the sole reason why I ended up liking this novel was for the fact that I really ended up liking Shiina Jun. He was kind of annoyingly pathetic at the beginning, but as it continued, I liked his development. On the other hand, I think Sasagawa Tetsuya's development was a lot of WTF to me. Lmao. If it makes you feel any better though, it took me 3 tries before I actually finished the novel. I'd fall asleep partway into chapter one a few times. LOL.
:D there's someone who hate this novel like me. the first half of the book is ok, at east its typical yaoi novel/manga so I dont find it very frustrating but in the last chapters, Shiina is brainwashed or something? I can believe the author just put them back together like that after all the only thing I like about this novel is the beautiful illustration
I almost had the exact same reaction toward Sasagawa after reading this, he pretty much just left me pissed off and confused at how Jun could like such a jerk. The mom's reasoning for the families neglect left me feeling just as baffled and angry. Overall I ended up just feeling sorry for Jun that everyone around him was such a douche.
The biggest thing that saved this novel was the illustration. Very beautiful indeed.
About the story, I have a feeling that the author didn't really a lot of experience in writing a completed & logic novel.
At the time reading the book, I joking told my best friend that "if this story was given to Kaori Yuki sensei, we would have a 16 volumes manga series full of angst". XD
