Today was a vegetable day. In other words, dear reader, I did nothing of any importance whatsoever. I spent the entire day watching time travel romances with Liz and, later, went to the Book Loft to buy Jeff's present. I got him... wait, he may be lurking! Oh, well. I might as well since he will receive it soon enough! I got him The Essential Canon of Classical Music and a bookmark detailing the famous Chinese legend of the coy's transformation into the dragon. In the illustration, a shrimp is congradulating the coy for his victory over the rushing waters. I thought it was appropriate and Jeff takes a great interest in the Chinese culture.
So, there you have it.
My mom got her second tattoo today. It is a vine of roses on her abdomen; one of the buds near the bottom of the plant is an AIDS ribbon. The tattoo covers her long scar. I like it. It is still odd to see my mother acting so differently, but I am getting used to it! Sometimes, you just have to shake your head, laugh, and take what life brings you.
Toodles!
P.S. I have been having very odd dreams as of late. I usually cannot remember my dreams, but, lately, they have been very vivid and... interesting. I remember one about Jeremy Brett inviting me to get coffee ice cream and, later, saving me from Auschwitz. My latest one was very disconcerting; I kissed someone that I could never imagine kissing in real life. Now, it is plaguing me and I have no way to be rid of its memory. Gah!
P.S.S. I have met a new online buddy,
washu_bellana! We bake virtual cakes, visit virtual antique shops, and have virtual Jeremy Brett-a-thons. Really, now, if that is not friendship, what is? :)
