Delicious on the Inside

Heyloo! I realize that I have been rather bad about writing lately; I apologize. Things have been so hectic around here for the past few days! Anyway, what I really wanted to write about somewhat concerns my entry named "A Bit of an Enigma."

So, I spent last night at my friend, Liz's, house and we decided to bake sugar cookies. We talked about various, random things while preparing the batter and at some point, we got to talking about the said blog entry concerning my uncanny ability to attract "different" people. Well, some short time later, we were rolling balls of dough in colored sugar. We ran out of the pink sugar and had to use purple sugar as a substitute; the last cookie on our baking tray was covered in this purple sugar. I sort of felt bad for the cookie as it was all alone in a sea of pink ones and smartly said, "It's okay that you're different."

Liz replied, as if to continue our past conversation, "Well, there's your answer." If I say things like that to cookies, I inevitably say such things to people and attract "different" people due to my accepting nature.

Yes, I do talk to inanimate objects.

Liz and I then proceeded to put on our socially-incorrect hats and gave racial identities to the cookies. The purple cookies were black and the pink were white. The said "different" cookie surrounded by pink ones had a bit of pink on him; he was bi-racial, was not accepted by either group, and had a slew of depressing childhood stories to tell. We used yellow sugar after we ran out of purple sugar; I deemed the cookies with this covering to be Asian as I am a horrible person. We did not have enough dough to make a full batch and decided to make these yellow-coated sugar cookies larger than the rest. I then proceeded to call them "Big Asians" and Liz replied, with much too much excitement, I might add, "SUMO-WRESTLERS!" We then constructed a sumo-wrestler cookie, complete with a diaper of yellow sugar. I have pictures. I will post them once Liz sends them to me.

Yes, we took pictures.

Finally, it was time to serve our cookies to Reuben, her husband. We loaded the black (that is, the purple-coated) cookies onto a plate along with one white (that is, pink-coated) sugar cookie. I told it, "You had better watch your back, cookie." Liz proclaimed, "Yes, it is not easy to be the one white cookie in the Columbus public school system."

Then, we ate. I am happy to say that, although they had different exteriors, they all tasted delicious on the inside. :)

Yes, we are politically-incorrect under the influence of sugar. But, we are always psychotic.
