I Got Instincts

Heyloo! I have been so busy for the last few days. My mom left on a cruise to Panama, Belize, Costa Rica, and a bunch of San [insert name]s. Yes, I know, it is rather unfair. But, anyway, as a result I have been doing all of the errands that she normally does plus some additional work resulted from her absence. I have learned a few things: Firstly, gas is crazy expensive and I am way more broke than I thought I was. Secondly, I am going to spend the rest of my life driving. Thirdly, cop cars are everywhere! Why did I not notice them previously? And fourthly, I really, really need a working radio in my car. When the shop employees were working on my baby, they blew a fuse that made it so I am unable to use interior lighting or the stereo. Now, if you know me, and I assume you do to some extent as you presumably read this thing, you know that I need music and/or noise at all times. The lack of both of these has resulted in my (very badly) singing the RENT soundtrack and talking to myself while in the car and attracting the attention of drivers concerned with their safety on the road. I told you I was crazy, didn't I? I will be quite happy when I have my music once again. I will also be happy when I learn the ways of the freeway. Oddly, I know my way around downtown quite well and I am not down there all that often; this tells you that I am destined to live in a city (*cough*New York City*cough*OR*cough*San Francisco*cough*). I got instincts. Also, I would like to point out that was the oddest coughing attack I have ever had.

Right now, I am at my mom's friend, Sally's, house. She is becoming my friend as well. I am helping her move to Oregon, where I will be venturing in about a week. I have never been to Oregon and I hear that it is very beautiful; I love to hike and bike and do all those outdoors-y sports, so I am sure I will have a great time. Also, Portland is a nice city with good music; can I get an "Oh, YEAH!" from the audience?

The agenda for the rest of today is to drive home, shower and dress, clean, go to the library, eat dinner, and go to work. You know, the same ol' stuff that makes up normality.

So, I will talk to y'all later! Toodles!

travel, fitness, music, craziness, mom, vacation, freaking out
