Women's World Cup
I love soccer. I love world cup soccer. And right now the FIFA Women's World Cup Soccer has creeped up under my nose. Everyone should go check it out. Now. Should you catch a glimpse of the USA team, keep an eye on the goalie, Hope Solo. Awesome athlete and from my hometown in Richland, WA. In fact, I had an elementary class with her and graduated the same year, in '99. I also remember in high school that I held animosity toward many of the "popular" kids, while I, a band and cross country nerd, wanted to be far away from high school. Well, here I am, 8 years later...and I have to let go of that animosity. Now.
So, I'm thrilled. I'm proud that a homegrown Tri-Citian and fellow Richland grad is playing for the US Soccer team.
