This weekend was slightly relaxing--meaning I didn't have so much to do that I had hardly any time for my homework. I also felt like doing homework. So that was a nice change.
Friday was the most fun. Went on the Senior Salute cruise. It was pretty good. Went out of Lake Union and around Lake Washington. A beautiful night for it. I also got to get dressed up and had a nice time with Tyler. Chelsea and Paul met up with us at the pier and we went together on the boat and hung out afterwards. The card game after was a blast. Played some dutch blitz. Actually won a game which was nice! Made my night complete. =)
Saturday layed out in the sun at greenlake. Didn't walk around it though...which was sad. I ran out of time. I wanted to go rollerblading around it, but oh well. Another time. I got some homework done at a coffee shop and it was so interesting because the man next to me actually had a slight conversation. He was a much older gentleman, which gran kids. But he told me about a cool bike tour in Paris that he went on. He lives over in West Seattle and his desktop picture on his laptop had the most gorgeous view taken from his apartment windows. Ferries, distant islands, and a very large body of water with a setting sun. It wasn't planned, just one of those slightly akward, your sitting next to me type things.
Somehow the senioritis is gone for the moment, and I am actually interested in doing my homework. I guess the end is so near, and I have so little left to do. All the hard stuff is over and I don't have any finals to study for. So it is looking good for me right now.
Church was interesting today. I went early to help cook food, assuming that I would then head up for the service. I ended up staying downstairs in the kitchen the whole time, helping with the food prep and serving of the food. Good to get a clearer picture of all the work they go through to serve us a dinner. On special occasions we have dinner downstairs after the service. This was one of them. Another pastor in our church was leaving with his family. He is going to school for more formal pastoral training.
Got back home and my feet hurt too much to do anything I had planned to do. Other aches and pains were arising with the time of the month. I am in bed now, and I am going to go to bed early for once. 10 pm isn't as early as I would like. But my body is all out of wack and last week I hardly got enough sleep each night. This week could be potentially just as busy...so hopefully I will be able to keep up with my sleep and still get things done around the house and such.
Pray for Jessica if you can. Her and Elijah decided to break up, and then shortly after (day or two later) her Grandma had a stroke. Looks like her Grandma is not going to make it. She is in California now for an undetermined period of time. Is supposed to have finals this next week. So she needs some lovin'.
Week looking allright. So far. Got a few evening arrangements already. Can't believe I am almost done! Crazy weird! Well I do want to get to bed soon as it is now well after 10pm and I would like to get up at 6...and I want 9 hours or more for once.
