Random Act of Kindness
Today I received my first random act of kindness... due to the fact that I am pregnant.
At Trader Joe's, I was checking out and told the clerk I'd also like a 24 pack of water bottles, which are by the check out stand. I went over to grab the pack and the woman who had been in front of me asks, "Do you want me to get that for you?"
I say, "Sure! That would be great!" I'm thinking to myself, wow! what a nice girl!
Then she explains how a handful of women at her work are also pregnant so she lifts things for them too. That was when it dawned on me...
OH YEAH! I'M PREGNANT! And people can tell! So it's kind of normal for people to help me out! *SCORE!*
I was really happy about that because I really didn't expect special treatment. I had my hands on the 24 pack and was figuring out how to move it without hurting myself when this girl offered her help. If she hadn't been there, I probably would have moved the pack myself. Besides, I did move it into my car........ but I'll let Jeff bring it out of my car into the house! *wink!*
