I signed up to
little_details here on LJ tonight, and posted my question about my French there and I am very glad I did. It seems my skills in the language are extremely rusty, and I have been spared much embarrassment.
I'd recommend this community, just on the strength of this question alone. I think I will be a regular reader/commenter there!
Edited to add: I am going to get My French Coach for Nintendo DS Lite and start brushing up! Maybe I will even pay for lessons if I find I am retaining anything.
