Young@Heart

About a week ago, I entered an online competition and won a double pass to see the movie Young@Heart. Last night, my daughter, Hannah, and I went to see it at the Rialto Centro in Fortitude Valley. I have to say that this movie is the best film I've seen in a long time. The members of the Young@Heart Chorus are absolutely inspiring. I had a huge smile on my face from the opening scene with one of the elderly ladies singing "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" and my emotions were engaged completely. I cried my eyes out when Fred Knittle sang "Fix You," which had originally been rehearsed and learned as a duet, but his singing partner passed away the morning of the show. Fred insisted that they go on with the show and his performance of the song was beautiful and moving. I've posted the trailer, and a couple of the songs from the movie below. If you get a chance to see this film, go see it! You won't regret it!
