Long time
Current mood: calm

Its been a long time since I've posted.

I'm going to UCDavis now and its cool. I love school and I love my classes. Its hard though being 3 places at once. I spend half my weekends in Danville hanging out with some of my best buds and at least one weekend a month driving up to Eugene to be with Carl and then the rest of the time here. Bleh! But it can only get better and its all worth it.

I'm not sure if I wrote about her earlier but I adopted a bunny. She is a sweatheart. Shes a lop eared bunny with a warm carmel coat. She loves to snuggle but she has her days with additude. i've never really had my own pet and its crazy how much she means to me. I've been waiting toget a dog beacuse of the sheer amount of space and energy it takes.. so a bunny is a good stepping stone and I adore her...except for when she chews up the surround sound cables.

Carl told me last weekend that he has though a few times about getting me a puppy... but we keep saying we should wait till we move in together and have a stable place with a yard.

Carl made me a beautiful pendant and necklace for valentines day. he is so talented. Ill have to post a picture. The pendant is made out of copper wire which holds a flattened penny that was flattened on the train track from the first time I took the train up to visit him. The penny and the copper are important because when he first met me he knew me only by the name "Penny" at burning man.The pendant also holds a nickle size stone of baltic amber and its all strung on a piece of black leather and clasps at the back with a clasp he made out of wire. It is so beautiful and means so much more to me just beacuse he made it himself. He has made me some beautiful things by hand.

UCD is going good. I'm harder on myself than anyone else is.. I expect perfection and I'm not getting it... but thats only because I am lazy.

My parents are still my parents and I'm sad to say they haven't changed at all.

I really want to be self supporting. I'm on my way but I'm not there yet. Just another year and a half or so.

I work as a nanny/babysitter for a woman who was the T.A. in one of my classes last quater and that alot of fun. I pick up her kids from school 2 days a week and take care of them till their parents get home. I really love working for this family and they are alot of fun.

Next quarter I will be taking classes only on Mondays and Wednesdays so hopefully I can work for Jen and also get another job... maybe working at the Co-op market and get grocery discounts. I would really like to save up alot of money so when I graduate I won't be in debt and I'll have a healthy nest egg so I can get a running start.

This summer I will be working as the Director of Counselors in Training at the Athenian. Hopefully I can save up. I would really like to buy some land in Oregon or Nor-cal and begin building on it. Maybe live on the land a few summers from now.

I've been sick for a week and half and I'm sick of it. Bleh. I had alot of fun but I got sick when I went up to Eugene last weekend. I dont think it got over 40 degrees most of the time. The low was 19 degrees. Eh... We went on a 15 mile canoe ride down the Umpqua river. It was a ton of fun but more than I expected. We originally thought it was only 10 miles (thanks to Aaron measuring the map with his thumb =P) and we were hoping for some current to help us down stream. But sadly, it took us 5.5 hours to row 15 miles. Luckly we docked right at it was getting too dark too see. I had an awesome time and the views were spectacular. I love Eugene and I can't wait to move there.

I'm trying to get more involved in school and meeting new people in Davis. It slow going but it will happen. Like I said earlier... 3 places at once doesn't make it easy to live in any one place.

Being sick has inspired me to get healthy again. I've been lax on my veggie diet but I'm going back full steam ahead. I can never do anything at half place or in little steps. I'm an all or nothing type of person, sometimes thats really good... and sometimes it gets me in a world of hurt.

Spring is starting hear and the birds are singing. I'm so excited. I can see a pink rose bust starting to bloom while sitting here at my desk. Its raining outside.. but the good kind of rain. A spring rain.

I'm going to try and make it up to Eugene this upcoming weekend for Carl and Lances birthdays but I don't know if i can work it out. I've missed alot of school do to being sick.

Spring break is coming up and for that I will definetly be in Eugene. Take the train up and then come back down to San Leandro to work with Carl and Lance on Lances truck for their spring break. Barry bought a new speed boat and Lance had mentioned spending some time on the lake. I haven't heard anything from Barry yet, but that would be a ton of fun.

Time to buckle down. I'm gonna eat and then write this paper than is due tommrow for my religion class. 5 pages on the ritual of burning man. Woot woot!
