winter break
So a raise and a possible promotion at Blue Flame was a great way to kick off my new year.
A couple days ago me and Kyle took a mini road trip to Lake Geneva which resulted in a planned dinner at Houlihan's and a much less planned stop at a 24 hour video store and an attempt to go to the airport lounge. (Open 7pm-Close, if anyone was wondering...).
Bought a couple new CD's. Hinder was a good buy, I'm definitely satisfied with it. Incubus' "Light Grenedes" is good on a few of the tracks, I'm still iffy on a lot of it though. And The Killer's " Sam's Town" was kinda disappointing. 1.5:3. Not bad.
And as for me... I've been going through a panic-esque situation lately. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I've been getting pretty wicked anxiety. I'm sure I'll get over it. Just a good thing school doesn't start for another 2 weeks (-ish).
Christmas was alright. Kyle was gone, and that's never easy. Living alone for even a week sucks. I'm just too social. I hate it when I don't always have someone to talk to or just lay with. But on the other end of the spectrum, this apartment is really starting to feel like home. I mean, I've always been comfortable here, but it's really starting to sink in that it's MINE. I think having the chinchilla and just spending a lot more time here... Maybe even spending some time alone here helped.
I'm getting kinda anxious for school to start though. Maybe it's too much time off, or maybe I just really don't want to get used to not having any obligation before 4 in the afternoon, but I really am ready to go back.
