Author's Notes: Okay, I was fuled by a stereotype. But I like the idea of strong women coming together in moments of need.
When Dani had put the feathers in her hair, Makenna couldn’t help but to feel a little… honored.
It took a lot to make Makenna Allerdyce speachless; this was one such moment. The smile Dani gave her over her shoulder reflected in the mirror was a gentle one; a big deal for a woman who had always found it so hard to be seen as vulnerable be anyone.
And in this moment, where had it been witnessed by outside eyes, they ordinary would have would have responed with a sarcastic quip and intense anger respectively.
But here there were no walls, no image to protect, no-one depending on them to do anything. Here, they smile at each other and when Dani asks for a picture of this moment Makenna doesn't hesitate at all, just smiles slightly, stands and poses and they don't need to say a thing.
Because they don't need to do or be anything. Even if just for a moment.
