Canthan New Year
So this weekend was the ChineseCanthan New Year in the Guild Wars universe. :3 (It was also the 1st anniversary of the current incarnation of Myst Online, but I could only attend one thing in my virtual spare time!).
As I'm sure you've all guessed, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these little festivals in GW. This one, though...it just kind of...happens every year. XD They always give out the same Lion Mask at the finale event, the quests never change, etc. IT'S PRETTY THOUGH. And and and? Two words: DRAGON. ARENA. 8D

We did a bunch of the quests together on the first night. :)
Prissy dress and a Fellblade. >:D YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH.
There's a story to this one. The mantid monsters around the monastery DON'T automatically attack you. Siren named this one Larry. ^_^ But SOMEONE *cough*Monica*cough* just HAS to kill everything in sight. D: "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY!"
Siren opened a LOT of Lunar Fortunes in the hopes of gaining a Celestial Rabbit minipet (she wound up with 3 XD). Sometimes the fortunes make you go a little...crazy...
These are just some of the funnier things she said while spirits were making her insane. XD
Other parts of Tyria were decorated to show support for the Canthan tradition as well.
The dragon face on the Sunspear statue in Kamadan kind of had me loling for a while.
My little monk Minako was so pleased to see other cultures honoring her own!

I had the most AWESOME teammates. :o That never happens to me in PvP matches! Only in this one, because it's a weird thing. I played with them for 2 HOURS, guys!
(Also LOLZ Pepper is so tall XD)
This actually happened a lot. XD We think people were quitting because we were rolling them so hard.

This was about when I realized it was almost 2 in the morning and I totally had to get up for work soon. XD That's a damn good winning streak!
Malla made a triumphant return this weekend. She hasn't seen much playtime at all since she lost her Survivor title. She's still only died the one time, though, and I forgot just how much freaking fun her Earth Magic skill build is. :D
She's full of attitude! 2 sets of elite armor and this is what she usually wears. Sheesh
Funny quest. Too bad the poor guy dies at the end. XD He has chronic bad luck, and this lady is supposed to cleanse him of his misfortunes...and he drowns. Such a shame. But that "Oh dear" kills me every time. XD XD XD
It's the running of the bunnies! ^_^
This was during the finale event. Canthan chefs prepared special meals for the Celestial being (this being the Year of the Rabbit, that being was a bunny) and then we were blessed with treats bags and fireworks. ;)
Guildies and our bunnies. :D I'm really glad I got 3 Celestial Rabbits so I could give one to Monica and Tree. ^_^ And also d'aw we're standing in a heart. :3
*grumbles* I had to completely reinstall Myst Online today. Something got borked pretty bad. It wouldn't even load the starting screen and the sound looped horrifically. :( But a clean install worked like a charm. :D
There were confetti fireworks in my neighborhood's fountain, and the DRC put up banners to celebrate a successful year of open exploration in the Cavern. ^_^ Good times, good times.
I think I'm going to "sit" by the Ae'gura harbor and write in my explorer's journal. It's been a while since I've done that. ^_^
