Big old picture post!
Okay, we've got some Myst explorations, a little bit of Guild Wars, and my SUPER AWESOME STEAMPUNK COSTUME. :D
My Costume
So my lurvely corset skirt arrived a few days ago in the mail, and I think I actually managed to find a decent top already in my closet. Goggles on my head, gun in my hand, and my Harry Potter timeturner around my neck. WOO! Please excuse the lightsaber in the background and the fact that I still look like sicky crap. ^_^
And a shot of the back so you can see the lacing and the BUSTLE.

Once again I'm exploring the cavern of D'ni and all of the Ages it links to.
I changed up my avatar a lil bit. Now she wears awesome STEAMY goggles. :D
I've been spending a lot of time wandering around the Cleft lately. It's the place where Atrus was raised by his grandmother, and where his daughter Yeesha felt called back to D'ni. Just a scar in the desert next to a dormant volcano, but it's weirdly pretty.
This is where Gehn's telescope thingy fell at the end of the events in Riven! 8o

This is what it looks like on the inside. Most of the rope bridges have fallen, but you can still shimmy up the walls to get from one room to another. A tiny puddle trickles over to the tree on the far side, marking the entrance to D'ni and Yeesha's Relto room.
It wouldn't be a bad place to live, really. If you like things simple, that is. Still, they do have a form of electricity, so that's something!
This is the Great Stair down in the city of D'ni. This is not an accurate depiction of how big this thing is. It's called GREAT for a reason. Most of the time explorers like to sit at the very top and watch the ripples on the lake, or race each other down to the bottom. ^_^
Kerath's Arch, as seen through the wreckage of ships at the Ferry Terminal. I wish the glowbugs who live in the lake would come back and light the place up again. It's magnificent, but so dreary. :\
HOLY CRAP A WELL-LIT AREA! This was my first real game of Jalak. :3 I was playing with my friend Stephanie, who I don't get to see online much because I haven't played lately, and she lives in France! :x Bit of a time difference there. I'm mad at myself for not catching her avatar in the shot, because it's cuteness.
We had a lot of trouble figuring out the rules to some of the games explorers have created for this world (the actual D'ni rules seem to be one of the many things lost to the Ages...bad pun...), but it was fun to try!

Jaenelle went dungeon-crawling again a little while ago.
She's SO CLOSE to beating EotN!
