This has happened a couple of times late at night. :D
It's a good sign when the cavern is full. That means that a LOT of people are playing, so a LOT of people still care about this game. It's a ridiculous level of kind for Cyan to offer it up for free, just taking whatever donations they can get instead of a monthly fee. The more support we show them, the more likely Myst will come back strong!
I love it when there's a ton of people in the Cavern.

The "/look" function sometimes makes me think of the silly things in the old Zork games...
This is The Great Zero (Rezeero or possibly Razeero in the D'ni).
It calibrates the KI system that lets us link and communicate with other explorers...at least we're all pretty sure that's how it works. Mostly it's just a cool steampunky piece of mysterious machinery. It's absolutely massive and constantly scans the city with a blue line of light in slow sweeps.
I like to sit at the top of the Great Stair and look out over the water at Kerath's Arch.
It's my favorite place to read the chatter on the KI. (I'm down there in the dark green shirt, blending in quite nicely to the dark. XD)

This one will REALLY give you an idea of just how dark the Cavern is.
This is the lake surrounding Ae'gura. Those orangey bits in the water are the funny little plankton creatures that usually light up the place, but due to the great calamity that destroyed D'ni and the subsequent years of idleness in the Cavern, they're not exactly as abundant as they should be...maybe someday we'll see a true "day" underground...
I like to just chill out in Eder Delin.
The snowfall is pretty, and it's so so very quiet...
