Pain
I see the pain written in his face from the selfishness of others
I reach out to help soothe the pain
And as he snaps back I fall in love with him just a little more.
I wrap my arms open around him to help him cope with it all,
And maybe he will open up to me just a bit.
I see a break through in sight.
I hear him talk words of love rather than hate.
Then I push to far and all is broken
The words of hate fly.
The trust is gone and
I feel ten inches tall.
How can I make him understand that I am good.
We were raised on different sides of the tracks,
Our worlds are just to far apart.
I vow to love him for a life time.
I vow to keep you safe.
