Gillette Venus Embrace
Ok, so I know this update is random, but I wanted to use this as a platform to rave about a razor I was sent to try, which I love.
I'm talking about the Gillette Venus Embrace. I love trying new razors but I hate buying them because let's be honest ladies, they can be/get expensive. I had been sent a Bic razor along with a pack of refill cartridges when I got word I'd be receiving my first VoxBox from Influenster. Which, really kind of came at the right time because the razor I'd been trying was on it's last leg & I had been planning to go out to the shops to purchase the one I'd been using because I did quite like it but then received the Venus in the mail.
I love the Venus line, I'd tried a couple before, but like I said, the refills can get expensive, especially if you can't find a coupon for the one you like. So, I was sent the Gillette Venus Embrace like I stated above, as well as a refill cartridge for the Venus & Olay blades. The awesome thing about the Venus line is that any of the refill blades, will fit any of the razor handles within the line so you don't have to purchase a new razor handle just to be able to try out a new blade. Unless of course you just like to have a variety of handles to choose from lol & I won't judge for that. I'm a girl, so I understand. It does come in pink, then a blue/green. I was sent the blue/green, which I much prefer because while I am a girl, I'm not much of a "pink kind of gir", if you know what I mean.
Anyway,
So I opened the razor & used it the next time I had planned to shave & it was awesome! The shave was so close & left my legs incredibly smooth. The handle is small enough that you're not struggling to keep hold of it whilst your hands are slick in the bath, the head of the blade is a bit bulky, but you have to take into account that there are 5 blades & a moisture ribbon as well. Which, the bulkiness of the head would be my only complaint & I honestly wouldn't even complain about that because it's such an insignificant detail. I'm really impressed with the razor over all though. I've not used the refill cartridge that they sent with it because the blade that came on the razor is still in great shope & a change of blades isn't required, but they did send me a $2 off coupon for the blades which I thought was awesome, because if those are as good as the one on the razor now, I will definitely be buying them.
