self ish/obsorbed/infatuated
the world is crumbling on everything that is the self
what happens when the many aren't clouded by mindless television?
what happens when middle class america realizes they are working to keep up with standards of living set by the people who sell them that lifestyle?
how can americans know the past and not see the signs that oppression and segregation still exist?
america spends more money on arms than the rest of the world combined
... but thats ok, you don't care about that because you listen to your ipod in class instead of listening
rosa parks was a REAL activitst, she participated in a school that TAUGHT forms of non violent action that got FIREBOMBED on a constant basis
... but you didn't think about that; because the american education system teaches you she was meek and tired after a long day of work!
further more, i bet you didn't know about the year+ bus strike that followed after this occurence [ ya thats right, segregation on busses didn't end the next day]; within this boycott black people CHOSE to walk miles upon miles to get to their 'living' wage jobs [basically serving the white] so that they would be given their RIGHT to sit in a non segregated bus.
... and i bet you're happy we don't have to do that. but look at our class divide, and look at what people earn and who earns it. then look at the number of children that starve in the world. we segregate our society by choosing not to boycott what we know is wrong

1. our education system
2. spending billions of dollars on wars that have no objective
3. find a legitimate way to decrease poverty
4. make society less greedy and more hospitable
5. corporation influence on media sources
oh yeah.. and on a quick note
today in class, someone i consistently question why im 'friends' with, got on her phone during break INSIDE the classroom with the professor just 3 rows away proclaiming, "YA I KNOW, CLASS IS SO BORING, AND ITS TILL 9:30 AND I'VE ALREADY FALLEN ASLEEP- SO AND SO WANTS TO GO OUT TONIGHT, DO YOU? WE SHOULD GO OUT TONIGHT"
.. its for people like this that make me hate humanity and the idiots who reside in it.
