Fun - Turns out it's enjoyable

Board Games n Booze was fun last night, although the "n booze" part consisted of pinkymonster and I having a glass and a half of wine each. We played two entirely new games and Apples to Apples of course.

Bookchase is a good concept (Trivial Pursuit for bibliophiles) but has flawed game play and house rules will have to be created to make it more fun and iron out some kinks. My favourite house rule of all time is the necessity to announcing a motive at the beginning of Kill Dr Lucky. The props of bookchase are lovely. Each player has a little bookcase and collects different coloured miniature books to win. It reminds me of playing with slyvanian families in that regard. It is a game that would work just as well with non-gamers though.

Thinkblot was hilarious. Pure genius and very different from anything else I've ever played. It's basically an inkblot game where all the players are looking at the same inkblot for a minute and have to write down what they see. Which leads to one wondering if everyone else can see a uterus (an uterus? surely not?) or is it just you (it wasn't just me "I have ovaries too" says Kevin W).

An evening to remind me why I like gaming.

games, quotage, friends, gaming, social life, fun
